According to IBM’s Digital Analytics Benchmark this week, a massive 48% of web traffic on Christmas Day was from a mobile device. This high number was driven by sales of tablets and smartphones as presents over the Christmas period. 18% of this traffic was from tablets, but a massive 28% was from smartphones.
However, consumers tend to prefer to make online purchases from tablets rather than phones, with 19% of all online sales coming from a tablet compared to only 9.3% from a smartphone.
